Darren, Director
As the public face of Pivotal Sound & Lighting, Darren heads up our team and oversees all aspects of the business from quotations, designs, logistics and planning to installations, set up and on-site mixing.
A history working with top brands, Darren has been trusted by Rolex, Google, Bloomberg, and Chanel to deliver flawless AV for events. Darren has also supported some local institutions in our hometown of Wrexham, including the William Aston Hall, Wrexham University, and Wrexham AFC.
Tony, Director
With over 45 years of industry experience, Tony is a name synonymous with excellence in sound and lighting. Providing PA systems for events like the Chester Folk Festival, his talent caught the attention of icons like Roy Harper, Robert Plant, and Midge Ure, leading to a 20-year collaboration with Harper that included nearly 600 gigs.
Though Tony now works more behind the scenes at Pivotal, his legacy of meticulous detail, passion, and dedication is woven into every project. With Pivotal, you’re not just hiring a service, you’re tapping into a lifetime of expertise to ensure your event is nothing short of spectacular!
Cerys, Ops Co-Ordinator
From prepping gear in the warehouse to setting up on-site, Cerys is the one making sure every show looks and sounds incredible. She is our secret ingredient!
Studying Theatre Technology and Design at Aberystwyth University, Cerys walkes straight into a Theatre Technician role, bagged loads of expert AV experience and found her way to Pivotal!
From rigging lights to perfecting soundscapes, Cerys knows her stuff. She’s always up for a challenge and loves adapting to whatever a production needs. Basically, if it glows, sounds amazing, or involves cables, Cerys is on it!
Lucy, Marketing Lead
With a strong marketing background and years of experience working with brands across different sectors, Lucy brings a creative mindset that feeds perfectly into the work we do for clients and partners.
Having worked in and around Wrexham for more than fifteen years, she has deep roots in the area and a real passion for the local community. Lucy is excited to support the next stage of Pivotal’s growth and is never one to shy away from a big project.
Guppy, Barketing Ops
Guppy joined the team in early 2026 and has quickly become the hardest-working individual at HQ. Office based, she ensures no visitor (or team member) comes into the office unsniffed or without receiving the gift of a slightly mauled dog toy.
Her favourite part of the AV world is probably the carpet offcuts in the warehouse. She enjoys a cool water and a fuss, and is probably the leading reason we use the vacuum in the office.
